A common issue on our list of leather repair services is accidental damage to the finish coats on the surface of the the leather. Nail polish remover is a common dissolver of the colour coats and we are often called to remedy the problem caused by the acetone contained in the remover. Another culprit is air fresheners. Rule #1, keep these products far away from your leather lounge! Much as you may like to do your nails in front of the TV, don't ! Or at least put a blanket over your couch first!

The photos below show the effects of a spilled air freshener. You can imagine what the carrier solvent would be in this product. While restoring the affected areas on a single colour leather can be challenging, replicating the 2 tone antique finishes like the armrest below requires lots of patience.
